Autumn concerts in Sheffield
Sunday 22nd September 2019, 3pm – Sarentino Strings at Fulwood Old Chapel
This afternoon concert features three bright and bubbly quartets. Haydn’s Quartet op. 33 no. 2 is nicknamed ‘The Joke’, and reflects the composer’s love of practical jokes! Dvořák’s ‘American’ quartet is one of our favourites to perform, and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. We will also give the first ever performance of Ray Kohn’s String Quartet no. 14, which he describes as ‘happy’.
The concert will last around an hour, with no interval. Tickets (on the door) are £10; under-18s £2.
Fulwood Old Chapel, Whiteley Lane, Sheffield S10 4GL.
Saturday 12th October 2019, 7:30pm – Lucy and Jonny, and Black Velvet Clarinet Quartet
A joint concert featuring a wide range of repertoire.

Black Velvet Clarinet Quartet’s contribution includes music from five centuries – from Renaissance composer Claudin de Sermisy to the more-recent Cole Porter, Gordon Jacob and Serban Nichifor.
