Easter Concert – Vivaldi’s Gloria

Andrew Marples conducts the Holymoorside Choral Society and the Allegranza Chamber Orchestra in an Easter concert. The programme features Vivaldi’s popular Gloria, along with a selection of shorter works including Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Franck’s Panis Angelicus, and Rutter’s Gaelic Blessing.

Mendelssohn’s Elijah in Lincoln Cathedral

The combined choral societies of Lincoln, Scunthorpe and Bingham will perform Mendelssohn’s oratorio, with the Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Bullamore.
Trio 240 in Chesterfield Library

Lucy Phillips (violin), Jonny Ingall (cello) and Andrew Marples (piano) return as Trio 240 to the Chesterfield Library lunchtime concert series. This time their programme has a French theme and will include the Piano Trio no. 1 in E-flat major by Louise Farrenc, along with Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps and D’un soir triste.
Free entry – doors open 11am. Retiring collection.
Evening concert in Warwick

Lucy Phillips (violin), Jonny Ingall (cello) and Mark Swinton (organ) present an evening of duets and trios in the beautiful Collegiate Church of St Mary, Warwick. The programme will include:
- Widor – Toccata from Organ Symphony no. 5
- Fauré – Romance for cello and organ
- Rheinberger – Suite for violin, cello and organ, op. 149
